Grandma left her earthy home and went onto her heavenly home on Thursday morning. I spent the night at the hospital with her on Wednesday night and she passed away early Thursday morning. I was sitting by her side as she took her last breath and Jesus called her home. We miss her so much, but surely no one misses her more then grandpa. He loved her deeply for 66 years and he really doesn't know life without her. If you remember, pray for him. His world has been turned upside down, and although that would be hard for any of us, I think it's a bit harder when you're 90 years old.

I just came across your blog while doing a random search and saw this post. Funny how you can send meaningful well-wishes to someone you don't know and didn't know existed 5 seconds earlier. I hope your grand dad is getting on okay.
It's a little bit hard to imagine your situation. Because all of my grandfathers passed first, before their wives did. It is my believing that women have the necessary mentality to overcome it, unlike men. When they get old the world changes too fast for them and the only constant support they have is their soul mate. I can not begin to imagine the pressure they suffer when one of the passes first, before the other.
