Eating Good In The Neighborhood

I just started thinking of all the good food I've had for dinner that past few nights. Here's a recap:

Thursday Night:
Mimi's Cafe - Dinner Salad and French Onion Soup with some delicious bread.

Friday Night:
Rubio's - chicken taco, rice, beans, chips and salsa...mmmmmm.

Saturday Night:
Dinner with the girl's basketball team after the game (the team and coaches and other family members of the players always eat together after the game--a different players family volunteers to make dinner each time, and the girls invited me to join in with them). We had chile verde burritos with beans, rice, chicken, a little sour cream and cheese all inside a warm tortilla. Complete with a rice krispy treat for dessert...and a mini brownie.

Sunday Night: A-M-AZING food at my friend Noelle's house. We're talking appatizers such as warm spinach artichoke dip with pita chips, nachos, carrots and snap peas with ranch dip (oh how I love that!) and chips and salsa. And that wasn't even dinner...

Dinner was chicken enchilladas, homemade tomales, beans, TWO kinds of rice, and salad.

Okay, now ready for dessert? For one, they had a HUGE box (probably the biggest I have ever seen) of assorted gourmet chocolates, gigantic cupcakes (chocolate and yellow with frosting and sprinkles), ice cream and other assorted candies including: snickers, twix, red vines, starbursts, and peanut m&m's.

Top the night off with a cup of coffe and throw in the towel. I hadn't ate that good in a looooong time.

Tomorrow night: Celebrate Diversity Dinner! We'll have our traditional lasagana with all the fixings and some sort of dessert I'm sure...can't wait!
